The SWL range is an enhanced version of the NPL (10 year design) with improved energy density, giving up to 40% extra in discharge capacity. Replacement Batteries For UPS, Backup Systems and Generators
Batteries are a critical, consumable product within uninterruptible power supplies, dc standby power systems and generators. In a generator, the battery forms part of the starter motor assembly and without a functional battery the generator will not start automatically. It is therefore vital that batteries are regularly inspected and tested.
Sealed lead acid maintenance free batteries typically have a design life of 5 years or 10 years. The actual working life is dependent upon a number of factors including ambient temperature and number of charge/discharge cycles. In reality this means that a 5 year design life battery will require replacement within years 3-4 and a 10 year design life battery within years 7-8.
