Power Distribution Units, PDUs or Rack PDUs from EcoPowerSupplies include single and three-phase input, modular and standalone systems for either vertical or horizontal installation within a rack cabinet. Our PDUs can be classified according to their level of sophistication and include:
- Basic PDUs: offering a number of output sockets and a mains power lead but no energy monitoring or power management features.
- Switched PDUs: with power management and load control features allowing the powering on/off of an entire PDU or its individual sockets for load-shedding.
- Intelligent PDUs: providing energy usage information including load RMS values (Amps, VA and Watts), mains power supply voltages and power factors.
Basic power distribution units can be used to distribute power from an uninterruptible power supply or mains power supply to their connected loads. Switched and Intelligent PDUs provide additional benefits for datacenter managers including power and energy management.
