Line Interactive UPS Systems
Line Interactive UPS from EcoPowerSupplies.com provide intermediate power protection for PCs, telecoms and file servers. Line Interactive (LI) UPS typically have a built-in automatic voltage stabiliser (AVS) to provide protection from sags, surges and brownouts and built-in EMI filtering to protect from spikes and electrical noise.
The inverter section is active but only powers the load when the mains power supply voltage fluctuates outside the input window of the AVS and/or EMI filtering circuit. The inverter then uses battery power to support the load. The inverter output may be a sinewave or psuedo sinewave suitable for most computing and telecoms loads.
For longer runtimes, the UPS must either be oversized or one chosen with the facility to connect to battery extension packs Š—– typically from 2kVA upwards.
