Within the UPS industry, uninterruptible power supplies manufacturers operate two sales channels. The first is a Value Added Reseller (VAR) channel which may also be known as Value Added Distributor (VAD) or Value Added Partner (VAP). The second is a direct sales team. UPS manufacturing companies operate this way so that they can push quantity through their resellers and focus their own sales teams on larger, higher value three phase UPS projects and specific market areas.
EcoPowerSupplies are approved Riello UPS resellers. This means that we are part of the Riello distribution channel and benefit from a range of sales and technical support services that help us to deliver outstanding service to our customers.
As Riello UPS resellers we have a dedicated account team that is always available to support our own sales team with battery runtime and UPS sizings. We also get preferential discounts that we can pass on to our clients as well as technical support, including non-contract 24-7 support. The range of Riello UPS products sold by EcoPowerSupplies ranges from their smallest single phase systems to their larger three phase UPS. Most VARs will sell up to around 120-200kVA and above this the UPS manufacturer can be in a stronger position to support a project.
Why work as a value added reseller for Riello UPS? The answers are several but they all relate to customer service. EcoPowerSupplies solves customer power problems and to do this we operate an ecommerce website and field sales engineering team. Clients can by a Riello system from our website on-line, pay for it and expect delivery within 24 clock hours – for orders placed by 2pm on a working day. Clients can also request a free site survey and we will attend site. As well as a super efficient ecommerce website, we win most client sales through site surveys.
For each site survey we complete a Site Survey Form and this guides us through an established procedure that covers load sizing, power distribution from the UPS, mains power distribution and feeds from the building income and switchboard to the UPS itself, operating environment, connectivity, network cabling, logistics and after-sales-service including UPS maintenance. Once we have completed the site survey form we check any specific sizing information and connectivity accessories with our Riello UPS accounts team and then put forward a proposal to the client.
Upon acceptance, our project management team takes over. Goods are ordered from Riello UPS or dispatched from our own warehouse and the deliveries are co-ordinated on-site with our own installations team. The works on site could take place over several days including evenings. This can help when the client wants a switchover outside office hours as costs are reduced to optimise normal working hours.
As well as exceptional uninterruptible power supply products, Riello also provide UPS resellers like EcoPowerSupplies with long warranty periods that we can pass directly onto our clients. The standard is currently 3 years and onto this we can bolt a UPS maintenance contract to provide a fast response time up to 4 clock hours.
