Eaton 93PM Modular UPS 30-200kW
The Eaton 93M is a high-efficiency transformerless modular three phase UPS system rated in kW. The UPS is designed to protect virtualised datacentres and critical IT infrastructure. Eaton 93PM uninterruptible power supplies are available in 40 and 50kW module sizes that can be housed in one of three cabinets; each sized according to the overall size of the built-in static switch. These can be 100kW (100), 150kW (150) or 200kW (200).

The Eaton 93M is a high-efficiency transformerless modular three phase UPS system rated in kW. The UPS is designed to protect virtualised datacentres and critical IT infrastructure. Eaton 93PM uninterruptible power supplies are available in 40 and 50kW module sizes that can be housed in one of three cabinets; each sized according to the overall size of the built-in static switch. These can be 100kW (100), 150kW (150) or 200kW (200).

Multiple UPS cabinets can be installed to reach a total size of 1.6MW. The 93PM UPS modules use multi-level converter technology to achieve up to 96.7% operating efficiency in on-line mode. Using Eaton’s built-in Energy Saver System (ESS) this can be extended to greater than 99% in ECO UPS mode operation. When the mains power supply voltage is high, ESS can reduce UPS power losses by 75% with the UPS operating in full on-line mode only when required.
The Eaton 93PM has a small footprint with up to 10-20 minutes battery backup available from the internal batteries. Advanced Battery Management (ABM) technology helps to enhance battery life and automatic battery testing is used to identify potential battery block problems. The UPS is rated at unity power factor allowing the 93PM to deliver up to 11-25% more power than a conventionally rated uninterruptible power supply.
Eaton 93PM UPS are fully serviceable from the front, reducing service times. The UPS can be supplied with an optional internal maintenance bypass to remove the need for power down and de-energising the system during routine maintenance.
The front panel LCD is a touch screen providing access to a range of extended measurements and functional controls. The UPS has Web and SNMP interfaces as standard and a free license for EatonŠ—Ès Intelligent Power manager software and can be integrated into virtualisation systems including VMware vCenter, Microsoft Systems Center and Citrix XenCenter.
